Boynton Beach Man, 24, Dies In Crash
BOYNTON BEACH – A 24-year-old Boynton Beach man died after his car struck a pole at an intersection west of the city, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim had swerved to avoid people crossing at Lawrence Road and Gateway Boulevard when he lost control of his 2017 Volkswagen Passat, according to a PBSO report said. The car hit a pole on the intersection’s southwest corner, then spun into another driver’s southbound lanes.
Paramedics declared the victim dead at the scene, PBSO said.
The crash report said he approached the intersection at “a high rate of speed.” He was wearing a seat belt when he crashed.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving. “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims that were injured because someone was distracted and crashed into their vehicles. If you’ve been injured by someone because they weren’t paying attention to the road, please call me so I can help you get compensation for your damages.”
