The 25-year-old was in her wedding dress when she was handcuffed and put into a police cruiser in Boca Raton, 30 miles north of Palm Beach County, a Florida Highway Patrol  report said.

A Florida Highway Patrol spokesman said, three people suffered minor injuries in the three-car collision the 25-year-old triggered. The bride was taken to a police substation in Palm Beach County to have her blood drawn.

“This could have turned out way worse than it did,” Florida Highway Patrol says. “It is supposed to be the happiest day of her life and this just goes out as a reminder as to why you should never drive while impaired.”

A Florida Highway Patrol spokesman tweeted, “Don’t drive while impaired, till death do we part doesn’t need any help.” The 22-year-old signed a criminal citation for DUI before she was released to her fiancée, Florida Highway Patrol officials said. It’s not clear whether the wedding went ahead.
