Collision knocks out light pole in Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH, FL – Traffic was shut down on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach on Wednesday afternoon after a car crashed into a light pole, WSVN reports.  

The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. near the intersection of Collins Avenue and 39th Street.

The driver of a silver van became suddenly dizzy while driving and attempted to pull over. While doing so, they hit a light pole on the side of the road, knocking it over.

The crash forced the temporary closure of Collins Avenue. No injures occurred as a result of the accident.
