Crash in Pembroke Pines leaves one dead, another injured

PEMBROKE PINES, FL – A crash in Pembroke Pines on Saturday morning left one person dead and another injured, CBS Miami reports.

Investigators believe a 2015 gray Mercedes was travelling north on I-75 when it lost control on the exit ramp to Sheridan Street around 7 a.m.

The vehicle then veered across several lanes of traffic on Sheridan before hitting a curb and flying through the air. The Mercedes eventually came to a rest after hitting a tree and rolling over onto the passenger side.

Both the driver and a passenger were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where the passenger was later pronounced dead. The driver sustained minor injuries.

At this time it is not clear why the driver lost control.
