Driver arrested after Deerfield Beach crash

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – A driver was arrested in Deerfield Beach on Monday after crashing in a shoping mall parking lot.

According to Local 10 News, the 31-year-old man careened into a parking lot on the 200 block of North Federal Highway.

It is not clear what caused the accident. After the crash, police attempted to arrested the driver, who became belligerent before eventually being detained by three officers.

He is currently under arrest and facing charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and distributing alprazolam (Xanax).
