Fatal Crash Blocks PGA Blvd And Beeline Highway
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — A fatal crash blocked portions of PGA Boulevard and the Beeline Highway for several hours.
Palm Beach Gardens Police shut down the east, west, and southbound lanes of those roads as a result of the crash for several hours. The road reopened some hours later.
West Palm Beach Police were also on scene. Video from the scene shows a dump truck on its side and a motorcycle on the sidewalk.
The motorcycle was heading east in the outside lane on PGA Boulevard when it crashed into the dump truck, which as heading south on the Beeline, police said. The dump truck caused the crash by failing to stop at a red light.
The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old man, is in critical condition at a local hospital. His passenger, a 46-year-old woman, died at the scene, according to police. The truck driver, who remains unidentified, was uninjured.
No alcohol or drugs played a role in this crash and there are no charges.
