Five Teens Injured In Horrific Palm Beach County
Five teens are in the hospital three with critical injuries after a car they were in exited the Palm Beach County Expressway around at a very high speed, spun out of control and had smashed into two parked vehicles, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Their vehicle, a blue 2002 Ford Focus, was in the westbound lane and Florida Highway Patrol say it did not slow down enough as it tries to take Exit 10 on the Expressway.
The 29-year-old male driver lost control after hitting a curb at the bottom of the exit, causing the car to spin out of control across Northwest Avenue and hit two parked cars, both unoccupied.
The car finally came to a stop when it drove into a fence. Some photos of the scene show a mangled mess of metal and glass.
The driver is in critical condition while his passenger, another 17-year-old female, is in serious condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two of the teens live in Palm Beach County and were taken to Delray Medical Center. The other three are from Martin County.
FHP said, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Accident attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate crash. “This is a serious accident resulting in injuries.
