Four Hurt In Rollover Crash On Coconut Blvd In West Palm Beach
Four people were injured in a rollover crash in West Palm Beach. The wreck happened near Coconut Boulevard and 87th Street North, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.
First arriving crews reported a four-vehicle crash with one vehicle being a rollover. This rollover had one person inside, according to fire officials. The four people involved were transported to local area hospitals with minor injuries.
A witness told Pam Beach County Sheriff investigators that a vehicle was speeding along Coconut Boulevard and did not slow down before running a red light at the intersection of 87th Street North. It crashed into another vehicle, severely injuring the driver and his three passengers.
During the preliminary investigation, the PBSO investigators calculated the traffic light had been red for at least six seconds prior to impact and that the vehicle was traveling between 57 mph and 61 mph in a 45 mph zone, the arrest report said.
One of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries including broken ribs.
