Four Kids Killed, One Injured In Indian River County Crash

Feelings of heartbreak in the wake of a horrifying accident at a Indian River County crosswalk have turned to feelings of outrage with new details emerging about the driver who allegedly struck and killed four young children and critically injured a 23-year-old.

The Post reported, a white Volvo sedan driven by 36-year-old woman has been cited in 12 open parking and camera violations for running a red light and speeding through a school zone in Broward County, Fort Pierce, and Delray Beach.

The 36-year-old’s license showed a clean driving record before the accident, in which she allegedly crept into an intersection before suddenly accelerating through a red light, FHP and The Post reported.

An eighteen month old baby, who was dragged in a stroller, a 7-year-old girl, and two other youngsters were killed. A 23-year old mother was also injured. He is currently in stable condition, per The Post.

Florida Highway Patrol department said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
