Greenacres Car Accident Left Five People Critical
A 25-year-old Lake Worth man was critically injured following a car collision that sent a SUV into the side of a building, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
Cole Damian was wearing a seat belt when the eastbound 2002 Toyota Sequoia SUV, in which he was a passenger, ran a red light just after at Lucerne Lakes Boulevard west of Greenacres, a report by the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The SUV sideswiped a 2018 Black Honda Accord turning east onto Lake Worth from Lucerne Lakes, then crossed the median and all westbound lanes of Lake Worth before it struck the corner of a building and stopped, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Damian was rushed to Delray Medical Center, the sheriff’s office said.
The driver of the SUV, a 39-year-old man of Lake Worth, and three other passengers suffered critical injuries, the report said.
The driver of the Honda, a 56-year-old man of suburban Davie, also suffered injuries but has already been discharged from the hospital, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Anyone with additional information concerning the crash is asked to contact the FHP.
