Herma Jervis Hit By Truck In Boynton Beach

Herma Jervis, 68, died after being hit by a truck in Boynton Beach, Boynton Beach Police reported.

The crash happened near Seacrest and Gateway Boulevards and caused major traffic delays. Police said a Publix truck ran over a woman who had somehow managed to get underneath the truck before it pulled away from a stop. The victim has been identified by police as 68-year-old Herma Jervis of Boynton Beach.

First emergency responders arrived at the scene of the crash soon after the accident happened and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The truck driver did not sustain any injury. Police shut down Seacrest Boulevard for several hours.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Boynton Beach Police Department is working on investigating the crash.

Vehicles on this route are pulling to the roadside to allow crews work. The delay of traffic on this route is due to the severity of the crash. It is best to use an alternative route.
