Hit-and-run driver kills man in wheelchair

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – A man in a wheelchair was killed after they were struck by an SUV in Fort Lauderdale on Monday night, Local 10 News. 

The accident happened on the 900 block of South Federal Highway around 10 p.m. The victim, a 58-year-old man, was attempting to cross the northbound lanes when he was struck.

The vehicle is believed to be a white 2022 Hyundai Tucson that fled the scene.

The victim was killed at the scene.
