Hit-and-run leaves motorcyclist injured in Deerfield Beach

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – A motorcyclist was struck, then dragged for a quarter mile by a driver who fled the scene in Deerfield Beach.

According to Local 10 News, the victim was riding across railroad tracks when he was hit from behind by a gold-colored SUV. As he was thrown off his motorcycle, his backpack got caught on the car and he was pulled along as the driver continued.

Eventually, the driver stopped long enough for the victim to free himself before speeding away. He was still not been caught.

The victim sustained serious injuries but is expected to survive.
