I-95 closed after driver strikes emergency responders

LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL – Four emergency responders were injured after being struck by a passing vehicle on I-95 Monday morning, WPTV reports. 

The victims included two Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies, a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper, and a Road Ranger. They were standing on the side of the highway in the northbound lanes of I-95 near 10th Avenue when they were hit by a passing motorist.

The incident occurred around 5:45 a.m. All four victims suffered minor injuries.
