I-95 Crash In Broward County Injures 3 People

Two Broward County residents were slightly injured and one seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 95.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-95, near W Broward Boulevard.

Four people were in a 2004 Ford Expedition traveling north when another vehicle, a Kia sports utility vehicle, approached the northbound ramp onto I-95, according to an FHP report.

The two vehicles collided, causing the Expedition to overturn. The driver and female were ejected and died at the scene.

Killed in the crash was the driver, a 40-year-old Vero Beach man, a 28-year-old Sebastian man,   and a 44-year-old Orlando woman, according to an FHP report.

A 15-year-old teen from Sebastian was seriously injured.

All northbound lanes were closed in the hours following the crash and diverted onto S.R. 407. The lanes were reopened after 9:30 a.m.

FHP is asking anyone who witnessed the crash to inform the authorities.

The crash remains under investigation.

Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving.  “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims that were injured because someone was distracted and crashed into their vehicles.  If you’ve been injured by someone because they weren’t paying attention to the road, please call me so I can help you get compensation for your damages.”
