I-95 Shut Down In St. Lucie County After Tractor-Trailer Crash
All southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Port St. Lucie are back open after being shutdown much of the day.
The wreck occurred shortly before dawn.
Police said a wreck involving two tractor-trailers caused traffic to be diverted to the Southwest Gatlin Boulevard exit for more than 12 hours.
A fuel leak occurred from one of the semis.
Video showed the crash caused a fiery scene, but no one was hurt.
Officials tweeted just before dusk that the right shoulder is still blocked by the crash.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “Cases involving accidents with tractor trailers are always subject to heightened scrutiny because of the additional regulations placed on drivers of those vehicles. Unfortunately, in our practice, we have seen numerous instances where drivers blatantly violate these regulations, which results in catastrophic consequences.”
