Jeffrey J. Mendham Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Florida’s Turnpike
A Fort Lauderdale man, identified as Jeffrey J. Mendham, died in a motorcycle crash on Florida’s Turnpike near Sunrise Boulevard, FHP said.
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a crash that killed a motorcycle rider on Florida’s Turnpike. The Federal Highway Patrolwere notified of the crash that happened on the turnpike’s southbound exit ramp to Sunrise Boulevard by eyewitnesses.
First emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash happened. Arriving, troopers found a 2007 Harley Davidson in a retention pond on the southwest shoulder of the ramp, according to FHP Lt. Alvaro Feola.
The motorcycle rider, 64-year-old Jeffrey J. Mendham of Fort Lauderdale, died at the scene accident.
No other information about the crash was available.
