Lake Worth Beach hit-and-run leaves woman critically injured

LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL – A woman sustained critical injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Lake Worth Beach on Saturday.

According to WPTV, the victim was attempting to cross the street in the crosswalk at the intersection of 10th Avenue North and Boutwell Road. She was struck by a 1997 Ford F-150 truck around 9 p.m.

The 65-year-old sustained critical injuries and was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center.

The truck driver fled the scene and later abandoned thier vehicle in a local industrial park.
