Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash On SW 54th Street & Hallandale Blvd In Hallandale

Authorities say a 42-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car on Southwest 54th Avenue by Hallandale Boulevard.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office said in an incident report  today that the man was riding his motorcycle on Southwest 54th Avenue while a Chevrolet car driven by a 29-year-old woman was going in the eastbound direction on Hallandale Boulevard. Keyla Concepcion, a spokeswoman for the Broward Sheriff’s office has a comment.  She says the woman made a left turn in front of the motorcyclist.  This caused the right front of her car to hit the left front of his motorcycle.

Authorities say the man was ejected from his motorcycle upon impact. First emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash happened.  He was taken to Broward Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The woman had three children in her car. None of the occupants were injured.  This wreck has led to traffic congestion in Hallandale Boulevard. It is advisable to avoid this route and take alternate routes.

Attorney Jason Weisser of Shuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate accident in Hallandale:   “This is a tragic accident that resulted in a death to the man driving the motorcycle.  It appears that he was cutoff and couldn’t avoid the crash.  Please be careful whenever you are driving a motorcycle, car, SUV or truck.  If you have been injured in an accident, call my office for a free consultation to find out what your rights are.”
