Man Killed in Rollover Crash on Florida’s Turnpike

A man in his mid-fifties was killed in a two-vehicle rollover crash on Florida’s Turnpike, Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported.


Florida Highway Patrol and the Palm Beach County Fire District crews responded to the rollover crash on the turnpike. One person died, officials said. One male died at the scene, and another male and a female were taken to local hospitals, according to the Palm Beach County Fire District.

All southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike were closed after the wreck near the Indiantown Road exit in Jupiter.

“The fatal rollover crash involving a truck occurred in Palm Beach on Florida’s Turnpike injuring five people. All southbound lanes are blocked,” FHP stated in an official press report.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said all five people, including two adults and three children, were transported to a local hospital for treatment. No information is immediately available on the identity of the person that was killed.

It’s unclear what caused the wreck but investigations are ongoing.
