Motorcycle rider killed in Fort Pierce crash

FORT PIERCE, FL – A motorcyclist was killed in Fort Pierce following a collision with a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon, WPTV reports.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Oleander Avenue and Digiorgio Road around 12:15 p.m.

The victim was traveling south on Oleander Avenue when he was struck by a pickup truck attempting to make a left turn from Digiorgio Road.

First responders rushed the motorcyclist to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities are continuing to investigate this accident.
