Motorcyclist Killed In West Palm Crash

WEST PALM BEACH — A 30-year-old man died when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle in suburban West Palm Beach, authorities said.

The victim is yet to be identified. The collision happened at the 4800 block of Okeechobee Boulevard, west of Military Trail.

According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office crash report, the man was traveling west on Okeechobee at “a high rate of speed” in the moments before the collision.

The other vehicle, a 2015 BMW sedan, was making a left turn from eastbound Okeechobee when it crossed into the path of Ward’s Suzuki motorcycle.

The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the BMW. He died at the scene.

The BMW driver, identified as a 40-year-old man of Jupiter, was not injured and she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck, PBSO said.

The report does not indicate that any charges are pending.
