A 32-year-old nurse was praised for her heroics after performing CPR on a crash victim following a crash on West Boynton Beach Boulevard.

Two vehicles, a blue Honda Civic and a Dodge Stratus were involved in a head on collision at the intersection of West Boynton Beach Boulevard with South Military Trail. The Honda Civic was traveling in the eastbound lane of West Boynton Beach Boulevard when it collided with the Dodge Stratus, which was navigating a turn into the westbound lane. The two cars were badly damaged, leaving the occupants of the car with serious injuries.

One of the occupants of the Dodge Stratus was unconscious when passersby arrived to render assistance. Coincidentally, one of the “Good Samaritans” was a female nurse just returning from a night shift. She performed CPR on the injured passenger and revived him after a few trials.

The driver of the Dodge was also injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the Honda Civic survived the accident with minor injuries. She was attended to by paramedics on the scene.

A spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol commended the nurse for her brave and timely intervention in saving a life. Investigations are still ongoing into the cause of the crash.

Accident attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate crash. “This is a serious accident involving two vehicles which ultimately sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries. We wish the victims a quick recovery and hope the investigators can quickly determine what caused the accident.
