Oklahoma Man Killed In Riviera Beach Crash

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla.— A man from Oklahoma was killed in a crash in Riviera Beach.

The crash happened on North Military Trail near Leo Lane.

When Riviera Beach police and Riviera Beach Fire Rescue arrived, they found a blue Dodge pickup truck inside Meyers Turf & Landscape Nursery at 7920 N. Military Trail. Police say the driver was identified by an Oklahoma driver’s license.

He died at the scene.

An investigation determined that the driver, for unknown reasons, left the center lane and veered off the road, crashing into the fence of Meyers Turf and Landscape, according to police. The damage to the property is estimated to be near $100,000.

He had a next of kin who lives in Lake Park that was notified, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Riviera Beach Police Department.

This investigation is ongoing at this time, according to police. There are no criminal charges pending.

Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving.  “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims that were injured because someone was distracted and crashed into their vehicles.  If you’ve been injured by someone because they weren’t paying attention to the road, please call me so I can help you get compensation for your damages.”
