One Child Has Been Sent To A Trauma Center After Three-vehicle Crash In Boynton Beach
A three-car pileup on the Hypoluxo Road across from the Freedom Shores Elementary School had sent a child to a trauma center and had also sent four others to the hospital, said the Boynton Beach police officials.
The child was rushed to Delray Medical Center. The other seven victims were transported to the JFK Medical Center, police officials and FHP reported.
The accident occurred at Venetian Drive and Hypoluxo Road when a 2013 Honda Accord crashed into a pickup truck and then into a Toyota. This led to the shutting down of all westbound lanes of Hypoluxo Road west of Congress Avenue. Police reported the lanes have been reopened.
A Boynton Beach police spokeswoman also added that the crash is still under investigation and encourages eyewitnesses of the accident to come forward.
The police have decided not to disclose the child’s identity as well as the identities of the other victims.
FHP said, the crash did not lead to any deaths. The victims are currently being attended to and one of them has recently been released from the hospital.
