One Dead, Others Hospitalized In Fatal Crash On Indrio Road
A 33-year-old man was killed and two others hospitalized in a terrible crash along Indrio Road in Fort Pierce.
Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision which occurred at the intersection of Indrio Road and North Kings Road in Fort Pierce. One person was killed in the fatal crash which sent two others to the hospital.
A blue Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling eastbound on Indrio Road when it collided with a Volkswagen Tiguan that was approaching from the northbound lane of North Kings Road. The Volkswagen was navigating a turn onto westbound Indrio Road when the two cars collided at the intersection.
The 33-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi Outlander suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. He was pronounced dead by paramedics on the scene. A front seat passenger of the Mitsubishi also sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to the hospital in an ambulance.
The driver of the Volkswagen Tiguan suffered severe head trauma in the crash. She was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating if any of the drivers ran a red light before the crash. Alcohol tests have also been administered. The results have not been made public yet.
