One hospitalized after Miami Beach hit-and-run

MIAMI BEACH, FL – A man was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in Miami Beach on Tuesday, WSVN reports. 

The incident occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of 71st Street and Bay Drive East. The victim was driving a black BMW when he was struck by a pickup truck which then fled the scene.

The man then became trapped in the BMW and had to be rescued from his vehicle. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The woman driving the pickup truck fled the scene but was later arrested by police. Police found drugs in her vehicle and she will face drug charges and charges for leaving the scene of a crash with injuries.
