Palm Beach Sheriff Office Seeking To Identify Killed In Lake Worth Car Crash
LAKE WORTH, Fla. — Palm Beach County deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying a male pedestrian who was killed in a horrible crash incident.
The crash happened on Jog Road near Lantana Road.
A 2016 Honda Civic, driven by 26-year-old man, was heading north on Jog Road in the center lane, just south of Lantana Road, according to the sheriff’s office.
The pedestrian was within the center lane of Jog Road and wasn’t wearing any reflective clothing. It’s unclear what he was doing in the middle of the road.
When the Honda Civic approached the pedestrian, the 26-year-old swerved to the left to avoid him, but to no avail, the sheriff’s office said. The pedestrian was violently thrown in the roadway and died at the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the injured victim was initially unresponsive after the crash and was transferred to a local hospital.
Anyone that can identify the man or has any other information concerning what may have caused the crash is urged to contact the Florida Highway Patrol Department or the nearest police station.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving. “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims in car crashes. If you’ve been injured in a car accident, please call me so I can help you get compensation for your damages.”
