A Port Salerno man died and three men had been hospitalized in a serious and critical condition after a three-vehicle crash in southern Martin County, Florida Highway Patrol said.

Palm Beach highway 119

Martin County Fire Rescue Division revealed that the crash occurred at Southwest 96th Street and Southwest Green Ridge Lane.

A 46-year-old man was driving a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder model west on 96th Street as another 1998 Ford F-150, driven by a 33-year-old man of Port St. Lucie, and a 2013 Ford F-150 driven by 34-year-old man of Boynton Beach, were heading east toward the bridge, according to a Florida Highway Patrol release.

The Nissan had crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with the side of the pickup, Florida Highway Patrol said.

The Nissan driver was pronounced dead at the crash scene, FHP said. A passenger in the Nissan was taken to the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Davie with serious injuries.

The other two drivers were also transferred to a nearby hospital.

Everyone involved in the accident had a seat belt on, FHP said. Alcohol was not a factor in crash. FHP is investigating the crash.
