Riviera Beach Teenager Hurt After Car Crash

A teenager has been airlifted to the Wellington Medical Center in a critical condition after he was struck by two cars at Delray Beach.

The 19-year-old boy was left with life-threatening injuries after the incident.

A spokeswoman from the Florida Highway Patrol said, the teen had head and arm injuries as well as a punctured lung. He was initially taken to Boynton Beach Hospital in a serious condition.

The Florida Highway Patrol said, the Forensic Crash Unit was helping Delray Beach Police, but the circumstances were not suspicious.

Florida Highway Patrol said, preliminary investigations revealed the drivers of the vehicles were not at fault and that neither drugs nor alcohol is suspected to be a cause of the car crash.

Police have spoken to two drivers of the vehicles and passengers, he said. The two vehicles involved in the accident have been impounded and next of kin have been notified.
