After the accident he was sober and also denied he was driving under the influence of alcohol, according to court papers.

“I wasn’t driving. I wasn’t drinking,” the 31-year-old man, laughably told police shortly before blowing a .185 more than double the legal limit.

The man allegedly rear-ended a car heading West on 34th Street near Boynton Beach. He was driving a rented silver Mustang.

When the victim tried to approach, the 31-year-old driver made a U-turn, heading East on the packed street and weaving in and out of traffic, colliding with two more cars.

He then mounted the busy sidewalk, mowing down a crowd of horrified pedestrians before crashing into a storefront.

Seven pedestrians were injured including a 12-year-old girl.

Florida Highway Patrol officials found two crack pipes in his car and stolen merchandise, prosecutors said.

Florida Highway Patrol officials had made it known that the incident is still being investigated to know if either drugs or alcohol was a factor in the accident.
