St. Lucie Car Crash Left Three Girls Critical And Two Others With Minor Injuries
A tragic St. Lucie County car accident critically injured three teenage girls and also left two others injured after their high school prom.
A 19-year-old girl was driving on Route 49 in River Park when her car veered off the road and hit a Toyota Corolla, leaving her with critical injuries. Another 15-year-old girl and her sister were rushed to a local hospital, state police said.
The two other girls in the car were in stable condition. The Press of St. Lucie County identified them as 11 and an 18-year-old girls.
The girls were students at a local high school, according to social media posts.
The driver in the Corolla was reported to be in critical condition.
Cops did not know what caused the 19-year-old girl’s car to veer off the road. No other cars were involved in the accident.
The school superintendent, told the Press of St. Lucie County that the girls are in the 10th and 11th grades.
The Florida Highway Patrol is urging anyone with information relating to the crash to contact the St. Lucie County Police Department.
