Teen killed, another injured after vehicle flips into canal in Loxahatchee

LOXAHATCHEE, FL – A teen was killed and another was rushed to the hospital after their vehilce flipped onto a canal in Loxahatchee this morning.

According to WPBF, the 18-year-old driver was traveling at a high rate of speed near 78th Place and Apache Boulevard when he lost control and went airborne over the canal. The vehicle then crashed into an embankment and rolled onto its roof.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old passenger was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition.
