Three Children Killed, Several People Critical After Five-Vehicle Crash In West Palm Crash
The Florida Highway patrol said, a truck driven a 41-year-old of West Palm Beach, was traveling north in the far-right lane when his truck suddenly veered left and collided with a car driven by Randy George, 32, of Port Salerno.
Both the truck and car went out of control and through the center divider, where the truck plowed into a church van, driven by Christine Jacob, 39, causing it to flip several times and eject some of the eleven children on board. The FHP said, it is unknown if any were wearing seatbelts.
The truck then struck another truck driven by Nicholas Freeman, 49, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, who was also traveling south. Both trucks and George’s car caught fire and a fifth vehicle hit at least one of the ejected van passengers.
George and Christine suffered serious injuries, as did the five surviving children, who were also ages 9 to 14. They remain hospitalized, as did Nicholas Freeman.
Authorities identified the dead children as Bethany Mouton, Richard Kant, and Clinton White, between the ages of 11-17. Anyone with relevant information concerning the crash is asked to contact Florida Highway Patrol.
