Three Florida Highway Patrol Troopers Suffer Minor Injuries In Chase, Crash In Palm Beach Gardens
Three Florida Highway Patrol troopers suffered minor injuries in a car chase that ended in a crash in Palm Beach Gardens.
The crash happened on PGA Boulevard just off of Interstate 95.
The troopers suffered minor injuries. They chased the 2017 Nissan Armada along Interstate 95 because it was reported as stolen, a Florida Highway Patrol Lieutenant said.
Troopers stopped side-by-side on PGA Boulevard when the SUV rammed one of the cruisers, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The SUV driver was arrested and taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, FHP said.
Both a state patrol SUV and a blue SUV sustained significant damage to their front ends.
Police shut down a road in while troopers are investigating the crash.
Several police cruisers are at the scene.
It’s the third chase and crash involving troopers in Palm Beach County.
The driver ran off and a passenger suffered minor injuries, troopers said.
The Florida Highway Patrol officials didn’t say what caused the crash and urge anyone with vital information concerning the crash to contact them or local police.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “Driving the speed limit on Florida’s Highways isn’t just the law. It may save your life by keeping you from being in an accident. Unfortunately, in our practice, we have seen numerous instances where drivers blatantly violate these regulations, which results in catastrophic consequences.”
