Three Vehicle-Crash On I-95 Injures Delray Beach Woman and One Other

Two people including a Delray Beach woman were hospitalized after a three vehicle crash on I-95, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The three vehicle crash occurred when a mini-van, a box truck and a pickup truck pulling a trailer collided at an exit ramp to Palm Beach International Airport. The three car crash left only one lane open on I-95 as the two right lanes were blocked, FHP says.

A minivan, driven by 38-year old man, was traveling northbound on I-95 and swerved left, crossing the grass median entering the southbound lanes. The vehicle collided with the front end of a white pickup driven by a 45-year old woman and then further involving a third vehicle.

The woman suffered serious injuries, while her passenger escaped unhurt. The driver of the minivan sustained a considerable level of injuries. First emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash happened. Two people were injured in the crash, according to the Fire Rescue Assistant Chief. Two victims were transported to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Both northbound and southbound I-95 exit ramps are closed. Traffic will have to exit at Belvedere Road to get to the airport. The crash involved three vehicles and some people were transported to the hospital, FHP adds.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Deputies were seen redirecting vehicles traveling on that route while they clear the wreckage caused by the accident. Motorists are advised to make use of alternative routes until the lanes are reopened on the highway.

Accident attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate crash. “This is a serious truck accident involving three vehicles, which ultimately, resulted in injuries.
