Truck Driver Not Charged In Crash That Left Five Hospitalized
A Honda Accord needed extraction after it was rear-ended through the front of a dental office in a freak accident.
The Honda Accord had been parked in the driveway of a Boynton Beach home practice when a truck went out and struck the Honda, police said.
The 29-year-old driver of the truck told cops he’d lost control while choking on his coffee. The truck crashed through two fences and struck a Hyundai Elantra before rear-ending the parked Honda Accord.
“He’s kind of still in shock,” the office manager told The Post of the dentist, who lives upstairs from the practice and was uninjured.
“He doesn’t know what to do,” said the office manager, who was on her way to work at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 33-year-old woman, was treated for head pain at a hospital in Delray Beach and released, police said. Also four other victims in the office had suffered minor injuries and were also taken to Delray Medical Center.
The truck driver has not been charged with a crime. The truck owners, declined to comment.
