Two Dead And Five Injured In Two Separate Car Crashes
Two people died and five were critically injured in two separate car crashes in Martin County.
A 39-year old man died and four others were hurt, including two critically, when a speeding BMW hit a Cadillac in Martin County, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
The BMW was speeding down Jensen Beach when it struck the Cadillac at 219th Street, authorities said.
Two 16-year-olds who were in the Cadillac with the driver were hospitalized in stable condition.
The 28-year-old man, who was driving the BMW, and a 29-year-old female passenger were in critical condition, police said. All of the injured were taken to Delray Medical Center.
Several hours later, a crash on Port Salerno left another person dead and 12 others hurt, including three critically, officials said.
The accident involved 10 cars and happened at Port Salerno and Indiantown Avenue. Six people were treated at Delray Medical Center, and four were taken to a hospital in the Martin County.
