Two Kids Injured After 59-Year-Old Man Drives Kids Into Lake After Colliding With Another Car
A young refugee from South Sudan had driven four of his six children into a small lake in Fort Pierce after colliding with a Honda Accord.
A 59-year-old man got into his car to drive to the store, leaving his new baby with his wife, who was home for the day.
Their house was near a wetland with a lake and as he rounded the bend beside the lake, he saw something he could barely register.
A car with all the windows up appeared on top speed hit the right side of his car, sending the SUV he was driving into a nearby lake. Two of his children with him in the car were thrown out from the vehicle and were all admitted at a nearby hospital.
The Florida Highway Patrol Department said the driver of the other car is currently being questioned by police officials. His blood test showed he wasn’t under any influence of alcohol or drugs.
Accident attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate crash. “This is a serious accident resulting in injuries.
