Two People Injured In Separate Crashes In Palm Springs And Lantana
Separate crashes left vehicles smoking and at least two people injured in Palm Springs and Lantana with at least one transported by medi-vac to a local hospital.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on northbound Congress Avenue near Greeenbrier Drive in Palm Springs, a staff Captain said. The northbound lanes on Congress remained closed to traffic north of 10th Avenue North.
One of the vehicles hit a pole near the Amigos II Restaurant. Once on scene, fire rescue crews reported two vehicles with heavy damage and performed extrication, Florida Highway Patrol officials said. One patient was transported by air to a local hospital, officials said.
Fire rescue crews rushed to a second scene of a rollover crash on southbound Interstate 95 near Lantana Road. A caller reported that a vehicle flipped and was on its roof showing signs of smoke. A person was pulled from the vehicle and transported to a hospital, Florida Highway Patrol officials said in a recent released statement
Conditions of victims were not yet immediately known. The FHP officials said.
