Two Separate Palm Beach County Car Accidents Leaves Several Injured
An 18-year-old and a 53-year-old woman were critically injured when they were struck by vehicles in separate parts of Palm Beach County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
In the first incident, a 53-year-old woman was struck by a tractor-trailer in Delray, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The woman was attempting to cross the street at the intersection of Eastbound and Westbound Streets when a large truck struck her as it was making a turn.
The woman suffered a severe leg injury and was taken to Delray Medical Center in critical condition.
The truck driver remained at the scene of the accident and had not been charged with a crime at that time.
Later in the day, an 18-year-old was also critically injured when he was struck by a vehicle in another area of the Palm Beach County.
The teen was walking across the intersection of 10th Ave. N and Sherwood Forest Blvd. in Greenacres when he was hit, Florida Highway Patrol said.
He was reported critical after the accident.
The driver in that incident also remained on scene and has not been charged, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Police officials said, both crashes are still under investigation.
