Two Teenagers Killed, Six Others Critical After A Two-Vehicle Crash In Broward County
Two teenagers have been confirmed dead and five other minors sustained injuries in a car crash in the Pompano Beach, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
A 14-year-old girl from Delray Beach was confirmed dead at the scene, and another 12-year-old girl from Port Salerno was also confirmed died at Broward Health Medical Center, said the deputies.
Deputies disclosed that a 14-year-old boy was seen driving a 2007 Toyota with five other minors inside the car, when he had lost control on the 1200 block of Northwest 15th Street.
The car then steered off the road, struck a palm tree as well as the metal pole of the crossing arms of the railways, and finally crashed into a BMW the girls were in.
Investigators and the Florida Highway Patrol reported that the Toyota was stolen from Coconut Creek.
The other five minors, ranging from ages of 11 to 12 and the 16-year old Toyota driver were taken to Broward Health care with various degrees of injuries, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies are still carrying out an investigation. The sheriff office sends its condolences to the families of the two decease victims who were also involved in the car crash.
