Two-Vehicle Crash Kills Two And Sends One To The Hospital
A Hobe Sound man was killed after a two-vehicle crash in Loxahatchee Groves, the Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
The wreck happened at the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard and D Road.
A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report said, a 2014 Toyota sport-utility vehicle was traveling west on Okeechobee Boulevard.
A 2004 Ford pickup truck, driven by a 51-year-old man of Hobe Sound identified as Diego, was traveling eastbound on Okeechobee Boulevard.
PBSO and the Florida Highway Patrol officials said, as the two vehicles neared each other, the driver of the Toyota drove partially into the eastbound lane and a violent crash occurred.
The left front of each vehicle impacted into each other.
As the wreck ensued, both vehicles rotated to their final resting positions. Diego and his passenger died on scene.
The driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. The deceased passenger wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. No drugs or alcohol were involved.
The sheriff’s office report and police authorities says no charges are pending due to the fact that the major cause of the car crash is still under investigation.
