West Palm Beach Multi-Vehicle Crash Kills One And Leaves One Critical
A Boynton Beach man was killed and another person is in serious condition after a three-vehicle crash in West Palm Beach, Sheriff Office and the Florida Highway Patrol officials reports.
The accident happened on Okeechobee Boulevard at the intersection of N. Military Trail.
Florida Highway Patrol officials say a 2001 Toyota sedan was traveling eastbound on Okeechobee Boulevard when it was rear-ended by a 2016 Sierra pickup truck at the intersection. The impact caused the vehicles to cross the median and enter the westbound lanes, causing the Toyota to crash with a third vehicle traveling westbound on Okeechobee Boulevard.
Jeremiah Mike of Indian River County, a passenger in the Toyota, was killed in the crash. The Toyota driver, a 32-year-old man was transported to an area hospital in Palm Beach County in serious condition.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of the pickup, a 25-year-old St. Lucie County man, was under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of the crash. The 25-year-old driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
The Florida Highway Patrol officials said, no charges have been filed yet as investigations are still ongoing.
Palm Beach Sheriff Office is urging anyone with relevant information concerning the crash to contact the Florida Highway Patrol or the PBSO.
