Woman, 32, Struck By Car, Dies In Crash Near Palm Beach International Airport
WEST PALM BEACH — A 32-year-old woman died when a car struck her on Military Trail in suburban West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to reports, the woman stepped from the roadway’s median into the path of a northbound 2020 Kia Forte as she tried to cross Military Trail from west to east just before dawn, PBSO said.
The impact threw her onto the hood and windshield of the Kia just south of Southern Boulevard near Palm Beach International Airport.
Paramedics pronounced the suburban West Palm Beach resident dead at the scene.
The male driver of the Kia remained at the crash site and called 911, PBSO said. Its report does not indicate that he is facing charges. He and a passenger in his car did not sustain injuries.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving. “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims that were injured because someone was distracted and crashed into their vehicles. If you’ve been injured by someone because they weren’t paying attention to the road, please call me so I can help you get compensation for your damages.”
