Woman killed in Lake Worth hit-and-run

LAKE WORTH, FL – A female pedestrian passed away weeks after being the victim of a hit-and-run in Lake Worth, WPTV reports. 

The crash occurred shortly before 9 p.m. on September 17th at the intersection of 10th Avenue North and Boutwell Road.

The victim was attempting to cross the road in the pedestrian crosswalk when she was hit by a red 1997 F-150 Ford truck. She was taken to the hospital where she passed away on October 9th.

The driver then abandoned the truck in a nearby industrial park. Police are still searching for the driver.
