Woman, Man Sent To Hospital In Two-Car Crash At 43rd Avenue And Oslo Road
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Two people were taken to hospitals after what fire officials said was a head-on crash at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Oslo Road.
A woman went to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institue in Fort Pierce with substantial injuries, and a man was taken to Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, according to Indian River County Fire Rescue.
Battalion Chief Roger Dion said the woman in the black Mazda car and the man in the gray Hyundai were the only occupants of each vehicle. The crash briefly closed the northbound lane of 43rd Avenue and the westbound lane of Oslo Road.
A Florida Highway Patrol state trooper said the collision happened in the intersection as one car turned west onto Oslo Road and was struck by the other traveling north on 43rd Avenue.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving. “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims that were injured because someone was distracted and crashed into their vehicles. If you’ve been injured by someone because they weren’t paying attention to the road, please call me so I can help you get compensation for your damages.”
