Driver flees scene after rear-ending semi-truck

MIAMI, FL – A driver fled the scene after rear-ending a box truck and causing their vehicle to burst into flames, WSVN reports. 

The crash occurred near 6 a.m. near the intersection of South Dixie Highway and Southwest 17th Avenue. A southbound Kia slammed into the back of a truck carrying frozen food.

The Kia burst into flames. The driver and at least one other occupant got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.

The truck driver was uninjured. Police are currently searching for the driver.
