Florida City hit-and-run leaves woman dead

FLORIDA CITY, FL – A woman riding her bicycle was killed in Florida City on Monday night after being struck by a vehicle, Local 10 News reports. 

The collision occurred around midnight at the intersection of Northwest First Avenue and 16th Street.

The driver then fled the scene, leaving the victim severely injured in the street. A bystander attempted first aid but the victim quickly passed away.

A witness claims it looks like the driver may have hit the woman intentionally.

No further information is available at this time.
