Pedestrian killed in Deerfield Beach crash

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – A woman was killed after being struck by a car in Deerfield Beach on Wednesday evening, CBS Miami reports. 

The victim, a 69-year-old woman, was attempting to cross S Federal Highway  when she was hit around 6:30 p.m. She was struck by a 2021 GMC Sierra travelling north and pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sierra driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Investigators do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
